Touring Handle Bar

Handlebar Options

Jones H-Bar
The Jones SG 2.5 Aluminum Loop H-Bar

I replaced the Flat Bar that was the standard build on my Felt Sporte 95 with the Jones SG 2.5 Loop H Bar.  The Bar has a rise that makes the riding position a little more upright, great for touring.
It has been a great Handlebar these far.  I have ridden about 5,000 miles with this set up.

Lots of hand positions.  They are 710mm wide (there is a 660mm bar available) ... so storage can be a bit of a challenge but riding has never been a problem because of the width.

The Jones H-Bar reviews show that many people report their 'wrist' issues have been resolved using them.   If your current bicycle is a flatbar, installing a Jones H-Bar is easy.  The brakes and shifters should work with no changes.

WoodChipper Bar

The Salsa WoodChipper Bar is a option for Touring with the drops more spread out and more convenient.  Additional hand positions are available.  I used them on my Surly Long Haul Trucker for years and many miles to make the ride more comfortable, I added a riser to give a more upright riding position.

For those that prefer drops, or need to use existing brakes and shifters, the Salsa WoodChipper bars are a good option and can provide a more relaxed touring position.

After doing an E-Bike Conversion of my Surly Long Haul Trucker (in above picture), I used a Jones SG 2.5 Loop H Bar on the Long Haul Trucker.  It worked perfectly and give a great touring position.
