Rans Fusion E-Bike

 

After an issue with a faulty pin in the main harness was discovered by the wonderful team at JohnnyNerdOut, I was able to quickly install the Bafang BBS02 motor and get the bike up and running with no further issues. A few quick miles of testing and adjusting seat and handle bar angles and the bike and the motor seemed to work perfectly.  

This is a new feel for riding with the crank forward setup. It will take a while to get comfortable on it. But the BBS02 is ideal for this bike. Plenty of power to get up hills.  

The small batteries that I have been using fit great in the bottom chain stay area. This keeps the center of gravity low and centered. 

I installed a T-bracket brace between the chain stays, with a bungee to strap the rear of the battery, and used the padded battery case's 2 velco straps to attach the front of the battery to the seat tube.

I use a Carhart rollup tool bag the carry tools an house the E-Bike cables. With the Standard brake and gear shift tubes being exposed. 

The Cloud 9 saddle is a new experience for me.  It is very soft.. not Brooks like at all! But it is comfortable. and with a more upright riding position, that is suppose to be the way to go.

Time will tell.
